Wichita Montessori School is seeking caring, dependable, and flexible individuals to serve as substitute teachers for the 2025–2026 school year.
Substitutes play a vital role in supporting our classrooms when teachers are absent, helping us maintain a nurturing, consistent, and engaging learning environment for our students.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting students with classroom activities and routines

Supporting the lead teacher’s lesson plans and guidance
-
Supervising children in a safe and respectful manner

Fostering the Montessori principles of independence, curiosity, and kindness
Ideal candidates will:

Enjoy working with children ages 3–12
-
Demonstrate patience, reliability, and strong communication skills
-
Have prior teaching or childcare experience (preferred, but not required)

Be open to learning about Montessori education and philosophy

Positions are part-time, as needed

While we do our best to honor substitute location preferences, placements are based on school needs and may not always be available.

Orientation for our Primary room (ages 3-5) is required, and provided

Pay rate is $16 per hour
