Admissions Process
Initial Visit
A representative of Wichita Montessori School will contact you to schedule a visit and give you a tour of our school.
This is your chance to witness Maria Montessori’s method in action, and we ask that you not bring your child on this first visit.
Child Visit
If you like what you see, and feel that this is a good place for your child, then we invite you to bring your child for a visit. After meeting the teacher, a child is usually delighted to stay with us for a morning, or all day. This gives teachers an opportunity to watch how children move around the room and work with other children. We can learn a great deal before offering placement, so that the needs of all the children in the room are served.
Teachers look for traits such as independent work habits and ability to follow directions.
