Hello!  My name is Emily Aidoo, and I am blessed to be a part of this amazing WMS community.  I joined WMS in 2021 and continue to be impressed by the strong community of teachers, parents, and students we have here learning and working together.  I’ve spent time growing up and living as an adult in Wisconsin, New York, Illinois, Senegal, and Ghana.  In 2008, I graduated with a double major in Elementary Education and French from Carthage College in Wisconsin.  

Professionally, I have a very diverse teaching background including time in an international school, traditional public schools, and most recently- Montessori schools.  I have been able to teach a wide variety of ages as well spanning from primary ages through high school.  Discovering Montessori education was, and continues to be, a pure joy.  Most of my Montessori experiences have been with primary students.  I continue to learn more about the Montessori philosophy of education as we support the students at WMS to be life-long, independent learners.  

My family brings me great joy as well!  My husband, George, and I were married in 2012 in Ghana.  We have one son, Perez, who is eight years old.  As a family, we enjoy spending time together outside as well as playing games and going out to eat.  We are very active in our church community here in Wichita, too.  In my rare moments of free time, I love to read, go for walks outside, tend to my plants, and enjoy conversation and coffee with friends.
