Hello! My name is Danzel Bond and I was born and raised here in Wichita. This is my first year teaching! I earned my BFA in Theatre Performance from Wichita State University. From there, I worked at a now-closed bookstore for eleven years. My favorite job there was Storytime Lady, reading books to children and planning crafts every week. I spent the next decade volunteering at my daughters’ elementary school. I recently began teaching theatre to preschoolers at Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center, where I have been a “dance mom” for 14 years. I also spent twenty years acting in local theatres, including Wichita Community Theatre, Wichita Shakespeare Company, and the former Center Theatre at Wichita Center for the Arts.

My husband, Jason, is a railroad freight conductor. We have two daughters, Gracie and Clementine, who are both in high school. We share our little midcentury home with our little mutt, Peanut, and four cats: Mabel, Charles, Mau Mau, and Evie. Besides creating art and spending time with my family, I am an avid reader and lover of classic film and ‘80s fantasy movies.
