Hello, I'm Jessica Williamson, and I am delighted to be a part of the WMS family. I graduated from Wichita State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. After graduating, I had the privilege of teaching at Wichita Friends School for three years, primarily in kindergarten, with my first year combining first grade as well.

My passion as an educator revolves around supporting my students, fostering a classroom community, and creating an inspiring environment that encourages them to learn and achieve by exploring their intrinsic motivations and interests. I firmly believe in the potential of children and their right to have their personal autonomy nurtured within their learning environment and community.

Beyond the classroom, I call North Riverside home, where I live with my husband, our two dogs, and three children. My two youngest children are also part of the WMS community as students, while my son attends North High School as a sophomore. Originally hailing from Idaho, I now consider Kansas my adopted home.

In my free time, I'm an avid nature enthusiast who loves being outdoors, exploring new destinations through travel, enjoying the power of music, and indulging in the thrilling world of roller skating. I look forward to getting to know the WMS community, sharing my passion for teaching, and helping my students grow and thrive on their educational journey.
